Who is Jim Miller?J. R. Miller (Jim Miller) was born and raised in the blue-collar suburbs of Detroit. After a career designing and copywriting for a large advertising agency in metro Detroit, he relocated to Florida, where he earned his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of South Florida. Tired of the Florida sun, he moved to Virginia for a few years before heading to the UK.
He is the author of Nobody’s Looking (ELJ Editions). His short stories and nonfiction have also appeared in Portland Review, The Good Men Project, Prime Number, Palooka, and others. He currently writes, sends out resumes for his dream job, makes cool stuff, and serves as the production editor for Moonlit Getaway. Jim’s prose is a character driven exploration of homogeneous American life and pop culture. Sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, his stories work hard to develop a close bond—a relationship—between the reader and his cast. |
